Incidents Requiring Immediate Reporting
- Serious injury to a child requiring medical treatment by a doctor.
- Death of a child while in care.
- Suspected abuse, neglect, or maltreatment of a child.
- Any emergency situation affecting the safety of children in care.
Parent or Guardian Notification
- Parents or guardians will be notified immediately of any injury, illness, or incident involving their child.
- A written incident report will be completed when necessary.
- Parents will be informed of any medical care provided or recommended.
- CPR/First Aid–certified staff.
Reporting to Licensing
- Goldenheart Day Care will report serious incidents and maltreatment concerns to the appropriate licensing agency when required.
- Reports will be made within the timelines required by Minnesota childcare licensing rules.
Documentation
- All incidents will be documented and kept in program records.
- Documentation may include incident reports, communication with parents, and follow-up actions.
- Records will be maintained according to childcare licensing requirements.
- A tour and onboarding process designed for clarity, comfort, and confidence.
